Quirino Memorial Medical Center Training for Registered Nurses

QMMC Professional Nurse Training Program (PNTP) Requirements

1. Application letter to Angeles T. De Leon (Medical Center Chief II)
2. Transcript of Records
3. Diploma
4. PRC License Photocopy
5. NBI Clearance
6. Board Rating and Certificate of Passing
7. 1 pc. 2x2 picture
  • 2 months ward training
  • P 1,000 / month fee
Complete the requirements then head on to QMMC. I forgot the name of the office you're supposed to submit the requirements to (and no, it's NOT the Nursing Training Office) but just ask the guard and he'll know.

Note: They only accept applications every Mondays AND Fridays 1-4PM. We made the mistake of going there on a Thursday.

Just knock on the office door and you will be given an application form. Fill it up, attach the ID picture and submit it together with your complete requirements. You will then be told the date and time of your Pre Examination. In our case, we submitted last April 30 and were scheduled to take the exam on June 22. Long wait but I heard that it's already a sure thing. The exam is mainly for evaluation purposes and not for screening candidates. Although I read on the waiver / application form that you must obtain at least 75% on the pre and post test to receive a Certificate of Training. Otherwise, one would be given a Certificate of Attendance instead.

After the two month ward training (type of ward allocated alphabetically) one can choose to pursue training on special areas like ER and ICU. Although I've been told that the special areas eligible for training would depend on the ward that one is assigned to.

Will follow up on this post as soon as I get more information. Frankly, I am itching to get back to my all whites and smell ethyl rubbing alcohol every 15 minutes.
