Finally, the day we FEU-IN Alumni have all been waiting for. Some respect and recognition for being a superb institution for future nurses. An institution almost always under the shadow of schools with sparkling 100% passing rates without considering the number of test takers. It's not easy to train more than 2,000 students and yet come in competition with universities who only have 100 or so. I'm not saying that having more than two thousand classmates is the best option for all (there are pros and cons) but then it's quite fulfilling to be abe to prove to the country that we can deliver quality even in large quantities.
Not to mention that FEU has a non-selective freshmen entrance examinations (At least in our time, I'm not sure about recent ones). Meaning almost everyone with a normal IQ can get in. A student is not judged by just one multiple choice exam but by his / her performance in the years to come. Student population trimmings are done every semester if one did not pass a major subject.
That said, I am proud to part of Batch 2009 (Passing Rate: 84% -first time takers only-) who managed to bring back the legacy of FEU-IN. We may not have the numbers of 100%, 98% or even 95% passing rates but for an institution with more than a thousand test takers, I think this is something already to be proud of.
